AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING VEHICULAR TRAFFIC TO STOP FOR THE
ELDERLY ACTIVITIES BUS, ADDING CHAPTER 10.40 TO THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, Chapter 10.40, which reads as follows:
CHAPTER 10.40
VEHICULAR TRAFFIC TO STOP
FOR THE ELDERLY ACTIVITIES BUS
Sections:
10.40.010 Vehicular Traffic to Stop for the Elderly
Activities Bus
Every operator of a motor vehicle or motorcycle approach-
ing an Elderly Activities Bus from any direction shall bring
such motor vehicle or motorcycle to a full stop before pro-
ceeding in any direction, and in the event such El,derly Activ-
ities Bus is receiving and/or discharging passengers, the said
operator of such motor vehicle or motorcycle shall not start up
or attempt to pass in any direction until said bus has finished
receiving and/or discharging its passengers.
SECTION 2. All ordinances in conflict with this ordinance
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
