RESOLUTION NO. 3 1 5 (#2-84)
A RESOLUTION URGING THE ARKANSAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT TO CONSTRUCT
THE NORTH BELT LOOP AS DISPLAYED AT THE MARCH 15, 1984 PUBLIC
HEARING.
WHEREAS, the residents of the City of Jacksonville have
expressed a great desire and need for the construction of the North
Belt Loop in the past; and
WHEREAS, the continued orderly growth and development of the
City of Jacksonville are dependant upon improved access to other
freeways in the County; and
WHEREAS, there is a definite and critical need for the new
construction of the freeway as quickly as possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
Section 1: The City of Jacksonville pledges its full
support and hereby urges the Arkansas Highway Department to do all
things within their power to see that the North Belt Loop Freeway
is approved at the proposed Location as set forth at
the March 15th, 1984 Public Hearing.
Section 2: The City of Jacksonville pledges its full
support and hereby urges the Arkansas Highway Department to approve

the new construction of the North Belt Loop Freeway in the proposed
location with additional interchange at Oneida Street as quickly as possible.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED THIS 15th DAY OF MARCH, 1984.
