RESOLUTION NO. 435 ( #3 -91)
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NOS. 328, 335, AND 404, OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS,
REGARDING CERTIFICATION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT ENDORSEMENT FOR
PARTICIPATION IN THE ARKANSAS ENTERPRISE ZONE PROGRAM; AND,
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
RESOLUTION NOS. 328, 335, and 404 should be and hereby
are amended to read as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville has an approved zone
designation for Census Tract 36.04 within the corporate
limits of the City of Jacksonville; and,
WHEREAS, the local government must endorse a business or
enterprise to participate in the Arkansas Enterprise Zone
Program and benefit from the exemptions as provided in Part
IV of the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program Regulations of
1983; and,
WHEREAS, said endorsement must be made on specific form
available from AIDC; and,
WHEREAS, J & J Metals, Inc. has been determined by the
management of the Enterprise Zone to be appropriate appli-
cants for the program; and,
WHEREAS, J & J Metals, Inc. has agreed to furnish
management of the Enterprise Zone all necessary information
for compliance and entry into the program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: J & J Metals, Inc. shall hereby be
endorsed by the City of Jacksonville for benefit from the
exemptions as provided in Part IV of the Arkansas Enterprise
Zone Program Regulations of 1983.
SECTION TWO: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to approve the Certificate of Local Government
Endorsement.
SECTION THREE: This Resolution shall be in effect from
and after its date of passage.
SECTION FOUR: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
said conflict.
