0527 RESOLUTION NO. 527 ( #3 - 2000)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, TO EXECUTE A N Y A N D ALL N E CES SA R Y DOCUMENTS F O R
THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY ON BEHALF OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
DEPARTMENT; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, on behalf of the Community Development
Department buys and /or receives donations of properties in low income areas throughout the City
of Jacksonville. After new construction and /or rehabilitation of said property, the Community
Development Department sells said property to qualified buyers of low to moderate income; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, are the proper
persons to execute such appropriate and necessary documents on behalf of the City to transfer
ownership of said properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized as the Signatory
Authorities for the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, to approve and execute any and all necessary
documents for transfer of real property on behalf of the Community Development Department.
SECTION TWO: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
execute all appropriate documents necessary to accomplish such property transfers.
SECTION THREE: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of said conflict.
