RESOLUTION NO. 482 06 -95)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR, CITY CLERK, OR
MAYOR TO INVEST AND /OR TRANSFER CITY FUNDS IN ORDER TO
MAXIMIZE THE RATE OF RETURN; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville has funds invested in
local financial institutions; and,
WHEREAS, the City Finance Director, City Clerk, or the
Mayor should have authority to invest and /or transfer the
City funds in certificates, bonds or other securities now
registered or hereafter registered in the name of the City of
Jacksonville, in order to maximize the rate of return on said
investments, with full power to withdraw, exchange, and
substitute other securities for those originally pledged.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The Finance Director, City Clerk, or Mayor
of the City of Jacksonville, individually or in combination
thereof, are hereby given authority to invest and /or transfer
the City funds in certificates, bonds or other securities now
registered or hereafter registered in the name of the City of
Jacksonville, in order to maximize the rate of return on all
investments, with full power to withdraw, exchange, and
substitute other securities for those originally pledged.
Such activity shall occur as provided by State law and as
directed by the Mayor of the City of Jacksonville.
SECTION TWO: This Resolution shall be in effect from and
after its date of passage.
SECTION THREE: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of
said conflict.
