0452 RESOLUTION NO. 452 ( #10 -92)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE'S
PARTICIPATION IN THE CENTRAL ARKANSAS REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION
STUDY; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a continuing, comprehensive, and cooperative
transportation planning process is critical to the future
development of and quality of life for the Little Rock -North e
Little Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area; and, }
WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of Metroplan, the
designated metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the
Little Rock -North Little Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area
to provide for a forum in which that planning process can be
accomplished; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Jacksonville to
participate in this process via the Central Arkansas Regional
Transportation Study Agreement of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The Jacksonville City Council duly adopts
the attached Agreement of Understanding indicating our intent
to participate in the Central Arkansas Regional Transporta-
tion Study.
SECTION TWO: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of said
conflict.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 20TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1992.
