0643 RESOLUTION NO. 643 ( #05 - 2010)
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE TO UTILIZE FEDERAL-AID FUNDS FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF
THE WEST MAIN STREET, HARRIS ROAD, JACKSONVILLE CUTOFF
INTERSECTION IMPROVMENTS; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, for public safety and improved traffic flow, certain improvements
are necessary at the West Main Street, Harris Road, Jacksonville Cutoff Intersection;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville understands Federal -aid Surface
Transportation Program Attributable funds are available for certain city projects at the
following federal and local participating ratios:

but not let to contract
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The City will participate in accordance with its designated
responsibilities in this Project.
SECTION TWO: The Mayor or his designated representative(s) is hereby
authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary
to expedite the construction of this City Project.
SECTION THREE: The City pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the
Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to implement
this Project.

SECTION FOUR; Any and all other Resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in effect from
and after its date of passage. j
