RESOLUTION NO. 620 ( #13 - 08)
A RESOLUTION URGING SUPPORT OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY BORDERING THE SOUTHWEST BOUNDARIES OF THE
CITY LIMITS OF JACKSONVILLE (COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE EMMANUEL
BIBLE FELLOWSHIP ANNEXATION); AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, owners of real property on the Southwest side of Jacksonville desire
that their real property be annexed into the city limits of the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas;
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, is the adjoining and surrounding duly
organized municipality within Pulaski County to said property; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and the real estate owners are in
agreement that annexation of certain property located on the Southwest side of
Jacksonville, as more particularly described below, would be advantageous and beneficial
to all parties concerned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT ;;
SECTION ONE; The City Council wholeheartedly urges support and approval of
the proposed annexation of the real property located on the Southwest side of
Jacksonville, as shown on the attached map (identified as Attachment "A" and made a
part hereof).
SECTION TWO: The following real property, as more particularly described
below and as shown on the attached map, shall be annexed and accepted by the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas:
SOUTHWEST PROPERTY
EMMANUEL BIBLE FELLOWSHIP ANNEXATION
ORIGINAL CHURCH PROPERTY:
Part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 22, Township 3 North,
Range 11West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the said NW1 /4 NW1 /4; thence N 89° 50' 00" W,
417.40 feet; thence S 00° 12' 00' W, 208.7 feet to the point of beginning; thence
continue S 00° 12' 00' W, 378.3 feet; thence S 51° 12' E, 277.59 feet; thence N 0° 26'
W, 551.7 feet; thence N 89 °50' W 210.76 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; said
described tract containing 2.23 acres, more or less.
LESS AND EXCEPT
Part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 22, Township 3 North,
Range 11 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of the said NW1 /4 NW1 /4; thence N 89° 50' 00" W,
417.40 feet; thence S 00 12' 00' W, 208.7 feet to the point of beginning; thence S 0°
31' 06" E, 241.47 feet; thence S 1° 28' 06" W, 136.75 feet; thence N 0° 12' 00" E, 378.17
feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; said described tract containing 0.013 acre, more or
less.

(deed South) 208.70 feet; thence N 89° 50' 09" W, (deed West) 208.70 feet; thence N 0°
21' 56" W, 208.71 feet (deed North 208.7); thence S 89° 50' 00" E, (deed East) 208.70
feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; said described tract containing 1.00 acres, more or
less.
SECTION THREE: The Mayor, City Clerk, and City Attorney and /or their duly
authorized representative(s) are hereby authorized to prepare, execute, and file the
appropriate documents required to complete said annexation process and participate in
the Annexation Hearing regarding the above described property.
SECTION FOUR: Upon approval of said annexation by the Pulaski County Judge,
F. G. (Buddy) Villines, the City Council hereby agrees to authorize, accept, and approve
the annexation of the above described property by the City of Jacksonville.
SECTION FIVE: Any and all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict.
SECTION SIX: This Resolution shall have full force and effect immediately after
