ORDINANCE NO. 6 6 0
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTIONS 2 OF ORDINANCES NO. 566 AND
626, PASSED BY THE JACKSONVILLE CITY COUNCIL ON DECEMBER 20,
1979 AND DECEMBER 29,1980, FIXING AND IMPOSING THE AGGREGATE
AMOUNT OF FEES, CHARGES AND SPECIAL TAXES TO BE PAID THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS BY THE SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE
COMPANY AND THE METHOD OF PAYMENT THEREOF: DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
Section 1.
It is hereby declared that Sections 2 of
Ordinances 566 and 626 passed December 20, 1979 and December
29, 1980 are repealed in their entirety.
Section 2.
Sections 2 of Ordinances 566 and 626 are
hereby declared to read:
"For the year 1982 the Telephone Company shall pay the sum
of Two Hundred and Sixty Dollars ($260.00)"
Section 3.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section 4. It is hereby found by the Jacksonville City
Council that there is an urgent need for additional revenues
for the City. Therefore, an emergency is declared to exist,
and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation and
advancement of the publ ic peace, heal th and safety shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage.
