RESOLUTION NO. 607 ( #8 - 2007)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT OF OBLIGATION WITH THE ARKANSAS
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY; AND, FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, deems it necessary and proper to
enter into a Contract of Obligation with the Arkansas Department of Environmental
Quality as authorized under ACA § 8 -6 -1603, for part of the City's submission of a Solid
Waste Disposal Facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED B Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter
into the Contract of Obligation affixed hereto and to sign the Contract of Obligation on
behalf of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas for its Solid Waste Disposal Facility.
SECTION TWO: Any and all other Resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in effect from and
after its date of passage.
