RESOLUTION Na 601 ( #Z - 07)
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING WILLINGNESS FOR THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE TO UTILIZE FEDERAL AID MONIES TO
REHABILITATE THE TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE INTERSECTION OF
HIGHWAY 67/167 AND MAIN AND MARSHALL STREETS; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Federal -Aid Surface Transportation Program Attributable
funds are available for certain City projects at the following federal
participating ratios:
Federal City

Rights -of -Way 80% 20%
& Utilities
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE The City will participate in accordance with its
designated responsibility for such a project at the Intersection of Hwy.
67/167 and Main and Marshall Streets, which includes providing electrical
services and maintenance of the required traffic signals and associated
control equipment.
SECTION TWO: The City is hereby authorized and directed to
execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the
construction of this City project, and the Council hereby authorizes the Mayor
and City Clerk and /or their designated representative(s) to submit the
necessary documents.
SECTION THREE: The City pledges its full support and hereby
authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to
initiate action to construct said City traffic control project.
SECTION FOUR: Any and all other Resolutions in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in
effect from and after its date of passage.
