RESOLUTION NO. 591 ( #4 - 06)
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING SUPPORT OF THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY INTO THE CITY LIMITS OF
JACKSONVILLE (COMMONLY KNOWN AS STONERIDGE SUBDIVISION);
AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Realty and Development, L.L.C., owner of certain
real property bordering part of the West boundary of the City limits of
Jacksonville, is desirous of having its real property annexed into the city limits of
the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, is the adjoining and
surrounding duly organized municipality within Pulaski County to said property;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and Metropolitan Realty and
Development, L.L.C., are in agreement that annexation of the property more
particularly described below would be advantageous and beneficial to all parties
concerned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The City Council urges support and approval of the
proposed annexation of the real property partially bordering the Western city
limits of Jacksonville, as more particularly described below and as reflected on
the attached map. Said map is identified as Attachment "A" and made a part
hereof.
SECTION TWO: The following real property, commonly known as
Stoneridge Subdivision and as more particularly described below, shall be
annexed and accepted into the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas:
The Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section 22, T -3 -N, R -11 -W,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, containing 160 acres more or less.
SECTION THREE: The Mayor, City Clerk, and City Attorney are hereby
authorized to prepare, execute, and file the appropriate documents required to
express support for and work toward completion of said annexation.
SECTION FOUR: Upon approval of said annexation by the Pulaski
County Judge, F. G. (Buddy) Villines, the City Council hereby agrees to authorize,
accept, and approve the annexation of the above - described property into the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
SECTION FIVE: Any and all other Resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in effect
from and after its date of passage.
