RESOLUTION NO. 588 ( #1 - 06)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, TO EXECUTE ALL APPROPRIATE
DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE WATER
DEPARTMENT FOR THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY, AND, FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville Water Department owns certain real property
as particularly described below that no longer serves a public purpose for the
Department; and,
WHEREAS, after publication of a request for and receipt of appropriate
bids from interested parties, the Department has received a winning bid from
Richard and Jeannette Garringer to purchase said property at a reasonable
market value of Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-five and 52/100 Dollars
($12,585.52).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized
to execute all necessary documents, including a Deed, which will transfer
ownership and title to the following described real property on behalf of the
Jacksonville Water Department:
Lots 1 and 2, Carson Acres Subdivision, Lonoke County, Arkansas.
SECTION TWO: Any and all other Resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in effect
from and after its date of passage.
