0557 RESOLUTION NO, 557 ( #2 - 02)
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE TO
UTILIZE FEDERAL AID ENHANCEMENT MONIES FOR THE JACKSONVILLE REDMOND
ROAD PEDESTRIAN TRAIL PROJECT; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jacksonville understands that Federal -aid Surface
Transportation Enhancement funds are available at an Eighty Percent (80 %) federal participation
with a Twenty Percent (20 %) local cash match for the Jacksonville Redmond Road Pedestrian Trail
project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The City Council hereby expresses its support and pledges its
participation in accordance with designated responsibilities, including maintenance of this project.
SECTION TWO: The Mayor and City Clerk and /or designated representative(s) is /are
hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to
expedite construction of the above City improvement project.
SECTION THREE: The City Council pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the
Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate the necessary action to
implement this project.
SECTION FOUR: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of said conflict.
