.4 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND ENDORSING CONSTRUCTION OFA SIDEWALK ON
AND THROUGH CITY PROPERTY; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City owns the following described real property upon which an railroad
easement lies for the benefit of the Little Rock Air Force Base. However, there is also sufficient
space in the easement for construction of a sidewalk, which will be constructed in accordance with
the City's Master Sidewalk Plan, to connect the Community Center with Dupree Park, allowing
citizens safer and better access of Park and Recreation facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
1 SECTION ONE: The City Council hereby authorizes and endorses construction of a
sidewalk on and through City property, to be constructed in accordance with the City's Master
Sidewalk Plan, as more particularly described below:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 25, Township
3 North, Range 11 West; thence West to the Little Rock Air Force Base Railroad
Easement and the North right -of -way line for Redmond Road; thence Northwesterly
along said right -of -way to the Westerly right -of -way for U.S. 67/167 and the point
of beginning for the sidewalk on City — owned property; thence continue Westerly
to Municipal Drive; thence North along Municipal Drive to the center line of the Little
Rock Air Force Base Railroad Easement and the end of City — owned property.
SECTION TWO: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a
Permanent Easement allowing for the construction and placement of a sidewalk through the above
described real property to allow better and safer access for citizens from the Community Center to
Dupree Park.
SECTION THREE: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of said conflict. l��
