RESOLUTION N0, 544 ( #4 - 2001)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF JACKSONVILLE ARKANSAS, CERTIFYING LOCAL
GOVERNMENT ENDORSEMENT OF BUSINESS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ADVANTAGE
ARKANSAS PROGRAM (ALSO KNOWN AS THE ARKANSAS ENTERPRISE ZONE PROGRAM —
ACT 947 OF 1993 AS AMENDED); AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the local government must endorse a business to participate in the Advantage
Arkansas Program and benefit from the refunds /tax credits as provided in the Arkansas Enterprise Zone
Program Regulations of 1993 as amended;
WHEREAS, said endorsement must be made on specific form available from the Arkansas
Department of Economic Development;
WHEREAS, 3 & 3 Metals, located at 3024 Discovery Drive, Jacksonville, Arkansas, has sought
to participate in the program and more specifically has requested benefits accruing from a new
location; and,
WHEREAS, J & J Metals has agreed to furnish the local government all necessary information
for compliance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: J & 3 Metals shall be endorsed by the City of Jacksonville for any and
all benefits from the refunds /tax credits provided through the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program
Regulations of 1993 (as amended).
SECTION TWO: The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration is hereby
authorized to refund appropriate local sales and use taxes as authorized by the Arkansas Enterprise
Zone Program Regulations to 3 & 3 Metals.
SECTION THREE: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of said conflict.
