RESOLUTION NO. 542 ( #2 - 2001)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, CERTIFYING LOCAL
GOVERNMENT ENDORSEMENT OF BUSINESS TO PAR77CIPATE IN THE ADVANTAGE
ARKANSAS PROGRAM (ALSO KNOWN AS THE ARKANSAS ENTERPRISE ZONE PROGRAM —
ACT 947 OF 1993 AS AMENDED); AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the local government must endorse a business to participate in the Advantage
Arkansas Program and benefit from the refunds /tax credits as provided in the Arkansas Enterprise Zone
Program Regulations of 1993 as amended;
WHEREAS, said endorsement must be made on specific form available from the Arkansas
Department of Economic Development;
WHEREAS, Lomanco, Inc. located at 2101 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, has sought
to participate in the program and more specifically has requested benefits accruing from a new
location; and,
WHEREAS, Lomanco, Inc. has agreed to fumish the local government all necessary information
for compliance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: Lomanco, Inc. shall be endorsed by the City of Jacksonville for any and
all benefits from the refunds /tax credits provided through the Arkansas Enterprise Zone Program
Regulations of 1993 (as amended).
SECTION TWO: The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration is hereby
authorized to refund appropriate local sales and use taxes as authorized by the Arkansas Enterprise
Zone Program Regulations to Lomanco, Inc.
SECTION THREE: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of said conflict.
