0529 RESOLUTION NO, 529 ( #5 - 2000)
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING WILLINGNESS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE TO UTILIZE FEDERAL AID ENHANCEMENT MONIES; AND, FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, understands Federal aid
Surface Transportation Enhancement funds are available at Eighty Percent (80 %) federal
participation and Twenty Percent (20 %) local match funds for the Community Center to Dupree
Park Sidewalk project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
in accordance with
SECTION ONE: The City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, will participate
its designated responsibility, including maintenance of this project.
SECTION TWO: The Mayor or his designee is hereby authorized and directed to
execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of the
above - stated improvements.
SECTION THREE: The City Council pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the
Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to implement this
project.
SECTION FOUR: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of said conflict.
