A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, TO SIGN ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF SEVENTY (70) ACRES OF UNIMPROVED REAL PROPERTY LOCATED
ADJACENT TO DUPREE PARK, JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, AND, FOR OTHER
PURPOSES,
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, desire s to p urchase seventy (70) acres of
unimproved real property adjacent to Dupree Park for an addition to said park; and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, are the proper
persons to execute such appropriate and necessary documents on behalf of the City to transfer
ownership of said properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized as the Signatory
Authorities for the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, to approve and execute any and all necessary
documents for transfer of seventy (70) acres of unimproved real property adjacent to Dupree Park,
Jacksonville, Arkansas, described as follows:
The SE 1/4, NE 1/4, NW 1/4 and the S 1/2, N 1/2, NE1 /4, Section 36, Township
3 North, Range 11 West, in the City of Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas, less
and except a railroad right -of -way, containing 50 acres more or less.
And
The S 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 25, T -3 -N, R -11 -W, Pulaski
County, Arkansas.
SECTION TWO: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
execute all appropriate documents necessary to accomplish such property transfers, and the Mayor
is hereby authorized to spend no more than Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) for the purchase
and related costs of acquiring said property. Said funds shall be payable from the City's Capital
Improvement Fund.
SECTION THREE: All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of said conflict. \\
