A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF TUE CITY OF JACK-
' SONVILLE TO UTILIZE FEDERAL AID URBAN MONIES FOR TIIE INSTAL-
LATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE INTERSECTION OF HIGHWAY 161
(NO. 1ST STREET) AND MARTIN STREET.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville understands addition-
al Federal -aid Urban System funds are available for traffic
control signal.ization on city streets at 100% Federal partic-
ipation: and
WHEREAS, the City understands that, when applicable,
their matching portion of this project will he 25% of the
total cost of appraisal and acquisition of right
relocation services, and adjustment of man -made improvements,
including utilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SMTION__I: The City of Jacksonville will participate
in accordance with it's designated responsihi.11ty in this
project.
SECTION II: The Mayor is hereby authorized and direct-
ed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts neces-
sary to expedite the construction of the improvements on city
streets.
SBQTION__III: The City of Jacksonville pledges it's
full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State highway
and Transportation Department, to initiate action to construct
this project.
