0424 RESOLUTION NO. 424 ( #7 - 90)
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AFFIRMING THE RE- APPOINTMENT OF MR.
ROBERT WHATLEY TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert Whatley has served as a Commissioner on
the Housing Authority Board for the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas, since 1985, providing a valuable contribution to the
activities and duties of said administrative body; and,
WHEREAS, although Mr. Whatley's term has expired, he has
consented to serve an additional term on the Authority Board at
the request of fellow Board and City Council members.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
Section 1: Pursuant to the provisions of Section 5 of the
Housing Authorities Act of the State of Arkansas, the City Council
hereby approves and confirms the re- appointment of Mr. Robert
Whatley to an additional five (5) year term as Commissioner of the
Housing Authority of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas. Said
term of office shall expire at midnight, March 17, 1995.
Section 2: All Ordinances, Resolutions, or parts thereof in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 3: This Resolution shall be in effect from and
after its date of passage.
