AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBERS 566, 626, 660, and 691,
FIXING AND IMPOSING THE AGGREGATE AMOUNT OF FEES, CHARGES AND
SPECIAL TAXES TO BE PAID THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS,
BY THE SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY AND THE METHOD OF
PAYMENT THEREOF; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. It is hereby declared that Ordinance Numbers
566, 626, 660, and 691 are amended to read as fol1ows:
SECTION 2. Sections 2 of Ordinance Numbers 566, 626, 660,
and 691 are hereby declared to read:
"For the year of 1984 the Telephone Company shall
pay the su,m of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00)."
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 4. It is hereby found by the Jacksonville City
Council that there is an urgent need for additional revenues
for the City. Therefore, an emergency is declared to exist,
and this ordinance being necessary for the preservation and
advancement of the public peace, health and safety shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage.
