0395 RESOLUTION NO. gqS (
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF THE REMAINING FUNDS
COLLECTED UNDER JACKSONVILLE MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE NO. 653, GENERAL
OBLIGATION IMPROVEMENT BOND ISSUED ON NOVEMBER 5, 1981; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a General Obligation Improvement Bond was issued
on November 5, 1981, pursuant to Ordinance No. 653, for the purpose
of financing the cost of purchasing, developing, and improving a
facility for use as an elderly activities center for the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, the expenditures allocated on said bond issue have
been completed, the obligation removed, and there remains a size-
able sum in said accounts; and,
WHEREAS, it is the purpose of this governmental body to see
that the remaining funds be used in the similar manner and purpose
for which the funds were approved by the voters.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The remaining funds in accounts designated
for the General Obligation Improvement Bond issued on November 5,
1981, be utilized but not limited to funding for the following
at the Elderly Activities' property:
A. Parking Lot Paving and Expansion.
B. Exterior and Interior of Facility Remodeling.
To include: Repairs of roof, tiles and
ceiling fans.
C. Outside Storage.
D. Purchase of Commercial Refrigerator.
E. Landscaping.
F. Construction Covered Walk -way.
SECTION TWO: All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION THREE: This Resolution shall be in effect from and
after its date of passage. ss��
