0715RESOLUTION NO, 715 (#10 - 2014) A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OFAND AUTHORIZING WAIVER AND RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE'S TAX CLAIMS AGAINST THE PROPERTY AND OWNER OF 104 FAULKNER, JACKSONVILLE; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES, WHEREAS, the real property, more particularly described herein, was included as part of a condemnation by the City Council [see Ordinance #1479 (#10- 2013)], and authorization was also given for maintenance liens and demolition of the structure on said real estate. As a result, tax liens were filed against said property [see Ordinance #1464(#26-2012) and Ordinance #1499(#30-2013)]; and, WHEREAS, because said property owner, Takeesha R. Bryant, has agreed to release and deed said property to the City of Jacksonville for use in the City's continued efforts to revitalize and improve the Sunnyside Addition of the City, the City Council has deemed it appropriate to resolve and settle the outstanding lien against Ms. Bryant and this property in exchange for transfer of her interest in said property. To effectively do so, the City Council must pass this Resolution authorizing the Mayor, City Clerk, and City Attorney to execute the appropriate documents required to accomplish said transfer of ownership. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED B Y THE CITYCOUNCIL OF THE CITY OFJACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THA T.- SECTION ONE; The City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, should authorize resolution of the outstanding tax liens of the real property described below: Legal Description Properly Amount Owner Lot 323, Block 0, 104 Faulkner St. $11,395.18 Takeesha R. Sunnyside Hills Addition, Bryant City of Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas. Pulaski Parcel No. 1230690032600 The City Council recognizes and agrees that doing so is necessary for continued improvement and revitalization of the Sunnyside Addition of the City. The Council hereby authorizes Mayor Fletcher, City Clerk Davitt, and City Attorney Bamburg to execute and complete the appropriate documents required to RESOLUTION NO, 715(#10-2014) Page Two release the Tax Liens filed under Ordinance Nos. 1464 and 1499 against the above described property. Said release will only be effective upon execution of a Quitclaim Deed from the owner of record, Takeesha R. Bryant, transferring her interest and rights into said property without additional debt liabilities to the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, for completion of the transfer of the property to be accepted. SECTION TWO: Any and all other Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in effect from and after its date of passage.
