ORDINANCE NO. 1216 (#24. 03)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND MODIFYING JAC/(SONVILLE
MUNICIPAL CODE 99 18.44.030, 18.48.030, 18.52.030, 18.56.020,
and 18.60.020; PROMULGATING REGULATIONS AND RULES
REGARDING 'lHE INSTALLATION AND USAGE OF A
CREMATORIUM WITHIN THE Cll Y OF JAC/(SONVILLE; AND, FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, City Council II.ell.bers have been approached about the
possible construction and development of a crematorium within the City of
,.ac<sonville. Doing so requires moeification of existing ore inances anc'
regulations in order to provic e for such a business enterprise.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE II ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
Cll Y OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THA T:
SELL ION ONE: ~MC ~ 18.44.030 ~Shopping Center District
(C-2) Conditional Uses= shall be all.ended to include the following:
Crell.atorium.
SELL ION TWO: ~MC ~ 18.48.030 ~Highway Commercial District
(C-3) Conditional Uses= shall be amended to include the following:
Crematoriumo
SELL ION 1 HREE: ~MC ~ 18.52.030 ~General Commercial District
(C-4) Condiditonal Uses= shall be alllended to include the following:
Crelllatorium.
SELL ION FOUR: .-MC ~ 18.56.020 ~Light Industrial District
(M-1) Permitted Uses= shall be amended to include the following:
Crematorium.
SELL ION FNE: ;MC ~ 18.60.020 =Heavy Industrial District
(M-1) Permitted Uses] shall be amended to include the following:
Crematorium.
SELL ION SIX: All Ordinances, parts of Ordinances, or )revious
actions tal<en by said City Council in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of said conflict.
SELL ION SEVEN: Due to the content and nature of the terms of
this Ordinance, it shall be effective from and after its date of passage as subject
to and by its terlllS and applicable law.
