AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF CAMPBELL
DRIVE, JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS (GENERAL LOCATION: THAT PORTION
OF CAMPBELL DRIVE FROM LOMANCO CORPORATE OFFICES DOWN TO
WAREHOUSE ROW (ABDIN PROPERTY), JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS); AND,
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the Jacksonville City Council hosted a public hearing
regardinJ the closure and abandonment of over Seven Hundrea Feet (700') of
CampbeJ Drive on October 2,2003, with notice duly published as required by
law. At said hearing, the written approval of all adjacent property owners was
presented and utility companies expressed consent to the closing of said streets,
subject to reservation of easement rights for said utilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: The real property, more particularly described as
follows is:
Part of the N 1/2 of Section 25, T-3-N, R-I1-W, Jacksonville,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
Starting at the Northwest corner of Lot 2, Pulaski Industrial Park,
Phase II as recorded in Plat Book 28 at Page 49 of the records of
Pulaski County; thence N 880 36' 44" W, 50.0 feet to the westerly
right-of-way railroad spur tract; thence N 040 07' 57" E, 316.49 feet
to the southerly right-of-way of Main Street; thence S 880 14' 07" W,
162.51 feet along the southerly risht-of-way of Main Street; thence
S 850 06' 57" W, 98.63 feet to t_1.e centerline of Campbell Drive;
thence S 150 43' 02" W, 372.27 feet along the centerline of Campbell
Drive to the point of beginning of the street closure; thence along a
curve to the left with a radius of 1,091.02 feet and a chord bearing
distance of S 080 18' 27" W, 233.74 feet to a point; thence S 020 06'
42" W, 360.0 feet along the centerline of Campbell Drive; thence S
010 16' 00" W, 168.0 feet alonB the centerline of Campbell Drive to
the end of the closure of the 50 street right-of-way described above.
(GENERAL LOCATION: That portion of Call1pbell Drive between
Lomanco cOlvorate offices and Warehouse Row (Abdin Property),
Jacksonville, Arkansas.)
Said real property and public easement are hereby closed and vacated under the
powers granted to cities of the first class in the State of Arkansas, subject only
to reservation of easement rights and privileges for private and municipal utility
companies. The Mayor and City ClerK are hereby duly authorized and directed
to enter into an Agreement with those adjoining and abutting property owners
of LOlllanco, Inc. The Agreement shall close ana abandon saId street rights-of-
way, with the real property described reverting to said property owners in
accordance with State law.
SECTION TWO: A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City
Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of the County and recorded in
the Deed Records of the County, hereby amending the plat recorded on
November 1, 1920, in the Pulaski County Circuit ClerK Records.

SECTION THREE: All Ordinances, parts of Ordinances, or previous
actions taken by said Council in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the
extent of such conflict.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
passage and publication, as provided by and subject to the requirements of
applicable law.
