0654 RESOLUTION NO. 654 ( #16 - 2010)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS IN EFFORTS TO COMPLETE THE TRANSFER
AND SALE OF PERSONAL PROPERTY AND /OR REAL ESTATE FOR NORTH
METRO MEDICAL CENTER; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City was fortunate to obtain a long term lease for continued operation on
our City -owned medical facility, North Metro Medical Center, with Allegiance Medical so as to
continue meeting medical needs and requirements of local residents and citizens; and,
WHEREAS, in a continued effort to understand the importance of satisfying community
medical needs and providing quality health care in a tough economic environment providing too
little reimbursement from insurance providers and governmental benefits, and as requested by
the Hospital Commission, the City Council wishes to authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to
execute all appropriate documents for transfer of the personal and /or real property comprising
the North Metro Medical Center to Allegiance Medical and /or its authorized designee so as to
provide long term continued operation of a quality medical facility for our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT;
SECTION ONE: To satisfy the needs of local citizens and residents within the
Jacksonville and North Pulaski County area, the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute any and all necessary documents to complete transfer of title to the personal
and real property as identified on the attached document to Allegiance Medical and /or its
authorized designee so as to maintain and insure long term continued operation of a qualified
medical facility and services within the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
SECTION TWO: Any and all Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of said conflict, and this Resolution shall be in effect from and after its passage.
