ORDINANCE NO. 1218 (#2 - 04)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2003 FISCAL BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, ACA ~14-48-203(b) allows a governing body to alter or revise
the entity's annual budget, noting pledged funds appropriated by the governing
body for any purpose may be subsequently amended or appropriated to or for
pledged purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the fiscal budget for the City of Jacksonville for 2003 should be
amended, per current accounting standards, to reflect revenues to the General
Fund to include the revenues and expenditures of the local Fire and Police
Pension Funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THA T:
SECTION ONE: Because of revised accounting standards, the City
Council of the City of Jacksonville hereby authorizes an amendment to the 2003
Fiscal Budget for the City of Jacksonville to reflect modification to the Revenues of
the General Fund, with said modification affecting the total amount of recorded
revenues increasing from $ 12,287,430.00 to $ 12,619,930. Further, Expenditures
of the General Fund shall be modified to reflect an increase in expenditures from
$ 12,287,430.00 to $ 12,619,930.00. Said modifications reflect the inclusion and
disbursement of funds collected and expended for the Local Fire and Police
Pension Funds.
SECTION IVVO: The provisions of this Ordinance are severable. If any
provision hereof shall be held to be invalid, such holding of invalidity shall not affect
the validity of applicability of the remainder of the provisions thereof.
SECTION THREE: All Ordinances or parts thereof in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict.
