0325 4 a T RESOLUTION NO. 3 2 5 ( #12 -84) A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF JACK- SONVILLE, ARKANSAS, TO MATCH FEDERAL AID URBAN SYSTEM MONIES FOR THE SIGNALIZATION PROJECT AT JAMES STREET AND HIGHWAY 67/ 167 FRONTAGE ROADS IN JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, understands additional Federal -aid Urban System funds are available for traffic control signalization on city streets at 100% Federal participation; and WHEREAS, the City has determined that the top priority signalization project is at James Street and Highway 67/167 frontage roads in Jacksonville, and; WHEREAS, the City understands that, when applicable, their matching portion of this project will be 25% of the total cost of appraisal and acquisition of right -of -way, relocation services, and adjustment of man -made improvements, including utilities. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The City of Jacksonville will participate in accordance with its designated responsibility in this project. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of the improvements on city streets. SECTION 3. The City of Jacksonville pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to construct this project.
