RESOLUTION NO. 3 0 7 (16 -82)
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas is carrying out a variety of
Community Development Activities under the auspices of a Multi -year Compre-
hensive Small Cities Program approved by the Department of Housing and Urban
Development Act of 1977 and as authorized by the City Council's adoption of
Resolution No. 297 -82 on June 3, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the City's application for funding the Third Year for Project
No. B- 82 -DH -05 -0003 has been approved in the amount of $612,000 and the City's
Third Year Program commenced on or about July 19, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville is desirous of expanding the previously
approved Neighborhood Strategy Areas as indicated on the attached map; and
WHEREAS, the City has conducted the required public hearings to discuss
the expansion and to seek Citizen input regarding the proposed expansion, all i \
in accordance with the City's written Citizen Participation Plan; and
WHEREAS, said proposed expansion was reviewed at this meeting of the City
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
1. That the Neighborhood Strategy Area for the Small Cities
Comprehensive Program is expanded to include the Area indicated
on the attached map.
2. That the resolution shall take effect immediately upon HUD approval.
