RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVIT.T AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE CONTRACT WITH MANES &
ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR PREPARATICN OF GRANTEE
PREFORMANCE REPORT UNDER CCMM[JNITY DEVELOP-
MENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas is desirous of sub-
mitting to the Department of Housing and Urban Development an appli-
cation for Discretionary Fund Grant under the Community Development
Program; and
WHEREAS a pre- requistie to such application is the preparation
rand s omission of the Grantee's Performance Report which desctibes pro-
gress in activities under the Discretionary Grant received by the City
of Jacksonville during the First Year of the Community Development Pro-
gram, and includes information and data to demonstrate compliance with
the various Federal overlay laws and regulations; and
WHEREAS it is necessary and desirable for the City to retain the
services of a consultant to assist in preparing said Grantee Performance
Report; and
WHEREAS the City Council desires to retain the services of Manes &
Associates, Inc. on the basis of past performance, qualifications and
experience.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVIT,TF, ARKANSAS:
1. That the Mayor and the City Clerk be and are hereby authorized
to enter into a contract with Manes & Associates, Inc. for the prepara-
tion of the Grantee Performance Report to be submitted as a pre - requisite
to the pending Community Development Program Application.
2. That the amount of compensation under said contract shall be
$800, payable from funds in the Community Development Program account re-
ceived under the First Year Discretionary Grant.
3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
