A RESOLUTION FOR THE PURPOSE OF SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON
A PETITION TO CLOSE AND VACATE A PORTION OF HARVEY STREET,
COMMENCING AT THE SOUTH BOUNDARY OF LOT 16, BLOCK 2, THOMPSON
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS AND EXTENDING
TO THE NORTH BOUNDARY OF LOT 1, BLOCK 4, BROWN ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, "ARKANSAS:
WHEREAS, the owners of all lands adjoining that portion of Harvey
Street as described in the caption hereof have this date filed a petition for
closing and abandoning said portion of Harvey Street;
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing must be given before any action
can be taken on said petition;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, That
Section 1. A public hearing on the petition to close and abandon that
portion of Harvey Street which commences at the South boundary of Lot 16,
Block 2, Thompson Addition to the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas and extends
to the North boundary of Lot 1, Block 4, Brown Addition to the City of Jackson-
ville, Arkansas, is hereby set for Thursday, August 19, 1976 at 7 " p. m.
Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to give public notice of said
hearing as required by law.
Section 3. This resolution is necessary for the preservation of the
public health, safety and welfare and an emergency is hereby declared to exist.
