A RESOLUTION CO METTING $28,000.00 FOR THE WNSTRUCTION OF A
JACKSONVILLE PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER BUILDING AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, preliminary plans have been prepared for the
onstruction of a Jacksonville Public Health Center Building on
City owned property adjacent to Rebsamen Manorial Hospital, with
cost estimates for said facility being estimated by the project
architect at $84,000.00;
WHEREAS, the government of Pulaski COunty may contribute
the sum of $28,000.00 toward the cost of said project and an
application is being submitted for Hill Burton federal grant
funds in the amount of $28,000.00;
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable for the City of
Jacksonville tocontribute the remaining balance for the comple-
tion of said project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, that:
Section One. The sum of $28,000.00 shall be contributed by
the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas toward the construction of a
Jacksonville Public Health Center Building on City owned property
adjacent to Rebsamen Memorial Hospital; and in the event that the
government of Pulaski County does not contribute the remaining
balance of $28, 000.00, the contribution to be made by the City of
Jacksonville shall increase to $56,000.00.
Section Th o. The Mayor of the City of Jacksonville is
hereby authorized and directed to initiate, file, prepare and process
any and all grant application forms and documents necessary to acquire
Hill Burton matching funds and necessary and incidental to the
construction of the aforesaid Jacksonville Public Health Center
Building.
Section Three. This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval.
