1821ORDINANCE NO. 1821 (#16-2026)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1817 (#12-2026) REGARDING THE
CONDEMNATION OF THE STRUCTURE AND REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 200
OVERLAND TRAIL IN JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, FOR STRUCTURAL DEFECTS,
DEFICIENCIES, AND PUBLIC HAZARD CONDITIONS; DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Jacksonville City Council previously held a Public Hearing on May 21, 2026
condemning the structure and real property located at 200 Overland Trail, Jacksonville, Arkansas. At
the next Council Meeting, held on June 4, 2026, the owner of said real property appeared before this
Council and presented additional information and offered anecdotal evidence of his extenuating
circumstances. As a result, this Council wishes to revoke said condemnation of the following
structure and real property:

SECTION 30, TOWNSHIP 3N, RANGE lOW, LOT 10, BLOCK 0 , NOW IN THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: Ordinance No. 1817 (#12-2026) shall hereby be amended and to
revoke the condemnation of the structure and real property at 200 Overland Trail, Jacksonville,
Arkansas.
SECTION TWO: Should any part(s) of this Ordinance be declared invalid for any
reason, no other part(s) of the Ordinance shall be affected thereby.
SECTION THREE: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION FOUR: Because passage of this Ordinance is necessary for the protection of
the above listed property owner, an emergency is hereby declared. Thus, this Ordinance shall be in
full force and effect immediately upon and after passage.
