RESOLUTION NO, V
A RESOLUTION FOR CITY PROPERTY USE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Water and Sewer Department of the City of Jackson-
ville, Arkansas recently purchased 13.48 acres, more or less, for use in a
water system improvement program;
WHEREAS, said Water and Sewer Department has inadequate man-
power and equipment to adequately maintain the appearance and condition of
said 13.48 acres, a part of which is vacant land;
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Jack-
sonville has a need for additional outdoor recreation space and has adequate
manpower and equipment to maintain the aforesaid vacant land.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
Section 1. The Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Jack-
sonville, Arkansas, be and hereby is permitted and authorized to use that
portion of the following described real property which is vacant land, said
use to be restricted to outdoor recreation purposes and subject to the condi-
tion that said Parks and Recreation Department maintain the appearance and
condition of said lands at all times and subject to the further condition that
said lands shall be released to the Water and Sewer Department for use by the
Water and Sewer Department as the need may arise.
Section 2. Said parcel of real property is more particularly described
as follows, to -wit:
A tract of land in the Southeast Quarter (SE %), Northeast
Quarter (NE %), Section 29, Township 3 North, Range 10
West, City of Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the SE %, NE', Section 29,
T -3 -N, R -10 -W; thence N 1 E, 618.0 feet along the center
line of Southeastern Avenue; thence West, 790.5 feet; thence
S 5 ° 50' E, 22.9 feet; thence S 79 ° 54' W, 228.5 feet to the center
line of the Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America Right of
way; thence along said center line S 10 ° OO' E, 355.25 feet;
thence continuing along said center line S 3 ° 29' E, 207.5 feet
to the center line of Ray Road N 89 ° 52' E, 922.12 feet to the
point of beginning: Containing 13.48 acres, more or less.

Section 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
