A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND GRANTING
AUTHORIZATION FOR THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE TO
ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT FOR PLANNING SERVICES
WITH GARVER, LLC; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Garver, LLC (Garver), located in North Little Rock, is an
engineering, planning, and environmental services firm, offering to provide urban
planning services and assistance to the City of Jacksonville and Jacksonville
Planning Commission. Garver has developed an Agreement for Planning Services,
which confirms the intent of Garver and the City of Jacksonville to create and enter
into an urban planning contract.
WHEREAS, after consideration and negotiation, it is hereby found that it is
in the best interest of the City to enter into an Agreement for Planning Services,
which will allow Garver to integrate and assist with the City's ongoing urban
planning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor, City Clerk, and other designated officials
of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, are hereby authorized to enter into an
Agreement for Planning Services (attached hereto) between the City of Jacksonville
and Garver, LLC, in accordance with Exhibit B to the attached Agreement.
SECTION TWO: The Mayor, City Clerk, and designated officials are
hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts
necessary for the development of an Agreement for Planning Services with Garver,
LLC.
SECTION THREE: Any other Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in effect from and
after its date of passage.
