ORDINANCE NO. 1461 (#23 - 12)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING JMC i' 6.040.040(C) REGARDING DOGS IN
CITY PARKS; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE,ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: JMC § 6.04.040 (RESTRAINT AND LIMITATIONS)
shall be amended and modified to include the following:
JMC§6.04.040 Restraint and Limitations
C. Dogs will be allowed within the confined space(s) and designated area(s)
of the City's Dog Park within Dupree Park and upon designated
Walking Trails within other City Parks. However, all parties who utilize
said facilities are expected to fully comply and maintain their animal(s)
within the respective areas of the park and take appropriate action to
prevent their animal(s) from entering any other area of a City Park
where animals are prohibited.
Animals are specifically prohibited from the Community Center, Skate
Park, and the Farmers' Market Pavilion, including the Walking Tracks
present at those Park facilities.
SECTION TWO: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its passage and publication, as provided by and subject to the requirements of
applicable law.
