0065-A • w RESOLUTION NO. (t fre G 3 A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, for the purpose of amending Resolution No. 65 -63, and for other purposes. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, did on the 7th day of February, 1963, adopt and pass a resolution, numbered Resolution Number 65 -63, which provided, amohg other things, that the Mayor of said City receive an abstract of title on certain property owned by the United States Government, which the said Mayor was therein empowered and author- ized to purchase by warranty deed; and WHEREAS, the General Services Administration of the United States Government has advised said Mayor that abstracts of title are not furnished upon land owned by the government when sale is made thereof; and further that warranty deeds are not delivered to the grantees of such purchases, but rather that quit claim deeds are given by the government; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS: That Resolution Number 65 -63 be and the same is hereby amended as to Paragraph 4 thereof to read as follows: "4. The Mayor of said city, be and he is hereby further authorized and empowered to complete the transaction by delivering to General Services Administration, or their duly appointed agent, the sum of Four Hundred, Fifty and no /100 ($450.00) Dollars as full payment for said land, and to receive therefor a Quit Claim Deed, duly executed and conveying to the said City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, all of the right, title and interest of the United States Government in and to the aforementioned real property."
