APPROVAL AND/OR CORRECTION OF MINUTES:
VARIANCE(S): 207 South Redmond Road Front Yard Setback Variance
Chairman Keaton opened the public hearing at approximately 6:31 p.m.
Mr. Preston Robinson stated that he would like to install a Kiosk that would be located directly underneath the structured sign on South Redmond Road. He related that it would require
a small building to accommodate computers and access to the back of the Kiosk. He stated that he would have computers, controls and cameras in the building, adding that it would be
climate controlled.
In response to a question from Commissioner Ott, Mr. Robinson answered that the building would be located behind the fence line. He added that the building would have a small porch area
that would extend out underneath the structured signage to allow customers to use the Kiosk when pulling up in their vehicle, noting that access to the facility is limited from 10:00
p.m. until 6:00 a.m. including weekends.
City Engineer Whisker explained that the code for front yard setbacks were adopted at a time when the advent of a Kiosk or any other such electronic structure were not a factor. He added
that he does not see a problem with the proposed plan. He then answered that there are no utilities or easements to interfere with the plan.
Commissioner Howard moved, seconded by Commissioner Ott to grant a front yard setback variance as requested for an accessory building for a Kiosk at 207 South Redmond Road. MOTION CARRIED.
Chairman Keaton closed the public hearing at approximately 6:33 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT:
Without objection, Chairman Keaton adjourned the meeting at approximately 6:33 p.m. MOTION CARRIED.
Respectfully,
