MINUTES: BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
DATE AND TIME: November 26, 1997 4:00 p.m.- 4:04 p.m.

Deputy City Clerk Susan L. Davitt recorded those listed above in
attendance and Acting Chairman Perry declared a quorum.
APPROVAL AND/OR CORRECTION OF MINUTES:
Commissioner Nabors moved, seconded by Commissioner Hardwick that
the minutes of the Board of Adjustment Meeting of October 22, 1997
be APPROVED. MOTION CARRIED.
VARIANCE REQUEST: 1401 Jeff Davis/Side Yard Variance
(Ch. 18.68.020 Jax. Mun. Code)
Chairman Brannen called the meeting to order and reviewed the item
of business.
City Engineer Reel related that the petitioner desired to build a
residence with a side load garage. He said that the petitioner
would need to build five feet of the south property line in order
to have the necessary room for access. He related that the
property is five feet within the undeveloped portion of Bertha
Street and pointed out the location of drainage and sewer easements
along that area. He said that the property owner is working on
drainage improvements with regard to the proposed residence. It
was noted that the proposed residence would front Jeff Davis.
Commissioner Hardwick moved, seconded by Commissioner Nabors to
approve the request of a five-foot side yard variance at 1401 Jeff
Davis. MOTION CARRIED.
Chairman Brannen adjourned the meeting at approximately 4:04 p.m.
