ORDINANCE NO, 1621 (#28-2019)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING JACKSONVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE
§5.04.100 TO PROVIDE MODIFICATION OF THE CITY'S BUSINESS
PRIVILEGE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS FOR BILLBOARDS; AND, FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville City Council has determined it is
necessary to update the City's Privilege License for billboards.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville has the authority to assess
privilege license taxes from Ark. Code Ann. § 26-77-102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OFJACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT.
SECTION ONE. Jacksonville Municipal Code § 5.04.100,
subsection 5 (BILLBOARDS - POSTER OR BULLETIN) is hereby amended and
modified to read and include as follows:
Billboards - Poster or Bulletin: Licensing fee of $100 per year per
business without regarding to the number of structures or locations
plus an annual permit fee of $75 per structure.
SECTION TWO. Should any section, clause, or provision of
this Ordinance pursuant thereto be declared invalid by a Court of competent
jurisdiction, such a ruling shall not affect the validity of the Ordinance as a
whole or any part thereof, other than the part so declared invalid.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall take effect from and
after its date of passage, pursuant to and under the authority of applicable
law.
