ORDINANCE NO.1640 (#14-2020)
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTED PURSUANT TO ACT 681 OF 2019, APPROVING THE
APPLICATION BLADE & BARREL, INC. FOR A NIICROBREWERY-RESTAURANT
PRIVATE CLUB PERMIT TO BE LOCATED AT 140 JOHN HARDEN DRIVE, SUITE 18,
JACKSONVILLE, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Act 681 of 2019 authorizes qualified applicants to apply for a
microbrewery -restaurant private club permit after obtaining approval of the governing body of
the City where the private club is to be located; and
WHEREAS, BLADE & BARREL, INC. has requested the City Council the City of
Jacksonville authorize a microbrewery-restaurant private club at 140 John Harden Drive, Suite
18, Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Jacksonville, Arkansas, has considered the request of
BLADE & BARREL, INC. at their October 1, 2020, City Council meeting and finds the request
should be approved as it will promote the public convenience and advantage to provide community
hospitality for its members and guests and increase sales tax revenue to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
JACKSONVILLE, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: The request of BLADE & BARREL, INC., Michael Green,
Managing Agent for approval of a microbrewery-restaurant private club at 140 John Harden
Drive, Suite 18, Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas, be, and it hereby is, authorized and
approved by the City Council of the City of Jacksonville.
SECTION TWO: Pursuant to Act 681 of 2019, BLADE & BARREL, INC. is hereby
authorized to file a microbrewery -restaurant private club application with the Department of
Finance and Administration, Alcoholic Beverage Control Division, for the location at 140 John
Harden Drive, Suite 18, Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas. A copy of this Ordinance shall be
provided to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division, Department of Finance and Administration
as evidence of the City Council approval for BLADE & BARREL, INC. to file its application
with the Alcoholic Beverage Control Division.
SECTION THREE: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
