1637030"A3 ORDINANCE NO. 1637 (#11- 2020) AN ORDINANCE TO MODIFY JACKSONVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE §§ 2.06.010 (MINIMUM SALARY - MAYOR); 2.08.020 (MINIMUM SALARY — CITY CLERK); AND 2.10.010 (MINIMUM SALARY — CITY ATTORNEY); AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 1099 (# 9 - 1998), the Jacksonville City Council designated minimum salaries for the Offices of Mayor, City Attorney, and City Clerk. Ordinance No. 1371 (#14-2009) modified the minimum salary for the Office of Mayor. Ordinance No. 1600 (#07-2019) removed the minimum salary designation and provided that the City Employee Handbook would designate standard benefits and accompaniments granted to all City Officials; and WHEREAS, because the City Employee Handbook is a work -in -progress and does not currently adequately reflect the designation of standard benefits and accompaniment granted to City Officials, the City Council deems it appropriate to revise the codes designating benefits to City Officials. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT. SECTION ONE: Jacksonville Municipal Code §§ 2.06.010, 2.08.020, and 2.10.010 are hereby amended and modified to include the following: The bylaws and/or controlling general eligibility information provided by the current City Benefits Provider shall designate standard benefits and accompaniments granted to all City Officials through State law and City Policy/Ordinances. SECTION TWO: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION THREE: Said Ordinance and the changes included herein shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by and subject to applicable law.
