AN ORDINANCE TO MODIFYJACKSONVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE§ 2, 06, 010
(MINIMUM SALARY - MAYOR); JACKSONVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE ,§
208,020 (MINIMUM SALARY — CITY CLERK); AND JACKSONVILLE
MUNICIPAL CODE ,§ 210,010 (MINIMUM SALARY — CITY ATTORNEY);
AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 1099 (# 9 -1998), the Jacksonville City Council
designated minimum salaries for the Offices of Mayor, City Attorney, and City Clerk.
Ordinance No. 1371 (#14-2009) modified the minimum salary for the Office of
Mayor; and,
WHEREAS, because of changes to Arkansas law for requirements to
document Elected Officials Salaries, the City Council deems it appropriate to revise
the codes designating salaries for the Offices of Mayor, City Clerk, and City Attorney
of the City of Jacksonville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OFJACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE; Jacksonville Municipal Code § 2.06.010 is hereby
amended and modified to include the following:
The minimum salary designation shall be removed. The annual pay for the Office of
Mayor of the City of Jacksonville shall be designated as noted on the Mayor's Office
Section of the city's approved budget each year. In addition, the notes will include:
i) An annual Vehicle Allowance if approved in -lieu -of availability of a city
vehicle; and,
ii) Registration fees/expenses for participation in the Arkansas Municipal
League events and functions, including reasonable overnight travel expenses
required for League events held outside of a Fifty (50) mile radius of
Jacksonville.
The City Employee Handbook designates standard benefits and accompaniments
granted to all City employees/officials through State law and City Policy/Ordinances.
SECTION TWO; Jacksonville Municipal Code § 2.08.020 is hereby
amended and modified to include the following:

Clerk Treasurer of the City of Jacksonville shall be designated as noted on the
Clerk's Office Section of the city's approved budget each year. In addition, the notes
will include:
Registration fees/expenses for participation in the Arkansas Municipal League
events and functions, including reasonable overnight travel expenses
required for League events held outside of a Fifty (50) mile radius of
Jacksonville.
The City Employee Handbook designates standard benefits and accompaniments
granted to all City employees/officials through State law and City Policy/Ordinances.
SECTION THREE; Jacksonville Municipal Code § 2.10.010 is hereby
amended and modified to include the following:
The minimum salary designation shall be removed. The annual pay for the Office of
City Attorney of the City of Jacksonville shall be designated as noted on the City
Attorney's Office Section of the city's approved budget each year. In addition, the
notes will include:
i) Portion of the pay derived from City General Funds.
ii) Portions of the pay derived from retainers invoiced to city commissions.
iii) Registration fees/expenses for participation in the Arkansas Municipal
League events and functions, including reasonable overnight travel expenses
required for League events held outside of a Fifty (50) mile radius of
Jacksonville.
iv) Registration fees/expenses for participation in required continuing
education classes, including reasonable overnight travel expenses required
for courses held outside of a Fifty (50) mile radius of Jacksonville.
The City Employee Handbook designates standard benefits and accompaniments
granted to all City employees/officials through State law and City Policy/Ordinances.
SECTION FOUR; All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION FIVE; Said Ordinance and the changes included herein
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided
by and subject to applicable law.
