ORDINANCE NO, 1581 (#03 -.2018)
AN ORDINANCEAMENDING ORDINANCE NO.1575 (#I1-2017), FILED AS
PULASKI COUNTY CIRCUIT CLERIC INSTRUMENT NO 2017074521;
RELEASING A LIEN; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WiYEREAS, per State law, the City implements and files liens against
properties through the. Pulaski County Quorum Court, the Pulaski County Assessor's
Office;: and the Pulaski County Circuit Clerk's Office to assist in collection of fees due
the City for maintenance and care provided to certain properties. Such was last
done through Ordinance No. 1.575 (#11-2017), filed of record on November 21.,
2017 as Instrument No. 201.7074521., with said Ordinance including a lien against
real property owned by Timothy L./Susan D. 5outherland at the physical address of
300 North Hospital,. Jacksonville; Arkansas; and,
WHEREAS, after request by.the property owners and due reconsideration, the
City Council has chosen ,to waive the. assessment/lien against: said property. As a
result; passage of this Ordinance is required to release the lien currently held by the.
City against said property.
Now, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OFJACCSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THA T.-
SECTION ONE; The lien filed against the property described
herein is hereby released and shall not. be assessed. nor collected. by the Pulaski
County Assessor's/Treasurer's Offices. Passage and. filing of this Ordinance shall
void the lien assessed against said property in the amount.of Two Hundred Sixty-
one and 63/100 Dollars.($261.63) through Ordinance No. 1575 (#11-20.17),fled of
record with the Pulaski county Quorum Court and the Pulaski County Circuit Court
as Instrument No. 2017074521 .on November 21, 2017. The property is more
particularly described as:
Lot 9, Block 4, Crestview Addition to the City of Jacksonville, Pulaski
County, Arkansas.

SECTION TWO: If any court. of competent jurisdiction finds that
any section, clause, sentence, or phrase of these Code provisions is invalid. or
unconstitutional, that. finding in no way affects the validity of the remaining portions
of this.Code.
SECTION THREE. Said Ordinance and the changes included herein
shall be in full force and. effect from and after its: passage and approval as provided
by and subject to applicable law.
