AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 213 AND 238 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. (WEST
MAIN STREET AREA)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, AR-
KANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The zone classification of the following property be and
is hereby changed as indicated:
Part of Block 15, Crestview Addition to the City of Jacksonville,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the southewesterly corner of Block 15, Crestview Addi-
tion; thence North 1 °53' East 171.0' feet; thence North 15 ° 33'
East 29.5 feet; thence South 88'04' East 193.1 feet; thence South
1 ° 53' West 195.7 feet to the Northerly right -of -way line of West
Main Street South; thence South 87 ° 32' West 50.0 feet (said bearing
and distance being the chord of a curve to the right whose radius
is 243 feet); thence North 88 ° 04' West along said Northerly right -
of -way line 150.0 feet to the point of beginning; containing 39,720
square feet (0.91 acres), more or less. (approx. location - West
Main Street, located due West of West Plaza Shopping Center) FROM C -2
to C -1.
SECTION 2: That the map referred to in Section 601 of the Ordinance No.
213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance No. 238,
and designated official zoning map, should be and hereby is amended to the
extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the changes
provided for in Section 1 thereof.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
SECTION 4: This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of the City
of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after its passage.
