AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 213 AND 238 OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. (APPROX. LOCA-
TION: MARSHALL ROAD AND MAIN STREET INTERSECTION-JOHN HARDEN DR. - U.S. HWY. 67)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, that:
Section 1. The zone classification of the following property be and
is hereby changed as indicated:
Part of the SE4 of the 5E4, Section 24, Township 3 North, Range 11
West, in the City of Jacksonville, in Pulaski County, Arkansas,
more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at the SE corner of said 5E4 SE4; thence North 00 de-
grees 33 minutes West along the East line of said SE4 1043.40
feet to the Point of Beginning; thence North 00 degrees 38 min-
utes West 253.80 feet; thence South 82 degrees 43 minutes West
550 feet; thence South 6 degrees 28 minutes West 982.50 feet;
thence North 40 degrees 52 minutes East 751.40 feet; thence
North 46 degrees 43 minutes East 204.10 feet; thence North

East line thereof a distance of 1043.4 feet to a point on the
existing northwesterly Right -of -Way line of U. S. Highway 67;
thence South 44 degrees 45 minutes West along said existing
Right -of -Way line a distance of 27.9 feet to a point; thence
South 46 degrees 43 minutes West along said existing Right -of-
Way line a distance of 204.1 feet to a point; thence South
40 degrees 52 minutes West along said existing Right -of -Way
line a distance of 319.64 feet to the point of beginning; thence
South 29 degrees 12 minutes West along the proposed Easterly
Right -of -Way line of said Highway a distance of 277.58 feet to

proposed Right -of -Way line a distance of 204.54 feet to a
point; thence North 36 degrees 44 minutes West along said
proposed Right -of -Way line a distance of 105.63 feet to a
point on the existing Easterly Right -of -Way line of Marshall
Road; thence North 06 degrees 35 minutes East along existing
Right -of -Way line a distance of 17.15 feet to a point on the
existing Northwesterly Right -of -Way line of U. S. Highway
67; thence North 40 degrees 52 minutes East along said exist-
ing Right -of -Way line a distance of 431.52 feet to the point
of beginning and containing 0.52 acres, more or less to be
rezoned from C -3 to C -4.
Section 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of the Oreinance
No. 213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance No.
238, and designated official zoning map, should be and hereby is amended
to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the
changes provided for in Section 1 thereof.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
Section 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of the City
of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after its passage.
