ORDINANCE NO. `7
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE ANNEXA-
TION TO THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, OF
CERTAIN LANDS IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS; DECLAR-
ING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
on certain dates reflected upon the minutes of the County
Court, upon the petition of certain persons owning all of
the property affected, after due notice of said hearings
upon said petitions for the time and in the manner prescri-
bed by law, ordering the annexation to the City of Jackson-
ville of those certain lands hereinafter described and con-
tiguous to the present limits of the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
Section 1: That the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas,
acting through its City Council, does hereby approve and
accept for annexation and does hereby make a part of the
incorporated areas of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, the
following described real property, to -wit:
Part of the East Half of the Southwest Quarter
and part of the West Half of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 36, Township 3 North, Range
11 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more
particularly described as follows: Commencing
at the NE corner of said Section 36; thence
South 01 degrees 50 minutes West along the East
line of said Section 36 a distance of 1013.0
feet to a point in the center of the Missouri-
Pacific Railroad R/W, said point being located
81.0 feet from the West abutment of the Missouri-
Pacific bridge No. 467; thence South 56 degrees

Missouri - Pacific R/W a distance of 2494.2
feet; thence South 30 degrees 07 minutes
East 50.15 feet to the Southerly R/W line
to the point of beginning; thence South
56 degrees 13 minutes West 1200.0 feet
along said Southerly R/W line to the point
of beginning; thence South 39 degrees 08
minutes 35 seconds East 1284.1 feet; thence
South 49 degrees 42 minutes West 340.0 feet;
thence North 38 degrees 39 minutes West
1321.2 feet to the Southerly R/W line of
Missouri- Pacific Railroad; thence North
56 degrees 13 minutes East along said
Southerly R/W line 330.0 feet to the point
of beginning, containing 10.00 acres, more
or less.
Section 2: That it is further ordained that the said
lands be and they are hereby assigned and attached to and made
a part of the 2nd Ward of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Section 3: This ordinance being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health, safety, welfare
and morale of the citizens of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
have full force and effect immediately after its passage.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 4th day of August, 1977.
