Mayor Fletcher noted that the Community Center is one of the most used
buildings in the City, citing the recent underwater Easter Egg Hunt that

complimented the staff regarding the success of its operation.

PLANNING COMMISSION:
GENERAL: Request to increase petty cash Parks and Recreation Shooting
Range
Finance Director Cheryl Erkel explained that when the Shooting Range was
opened they had requested an increase in petty cash for the cash draws,
adding that they had not taken into consideration the amount of cash flow
involved with the tournaments. She stated that since the tournaments
began, money for the draws was increased by issuing a check for $1,500.00
to cover the cash flow. She explained that at the conclusion of the
tournament, the money would be deposited back into petty cash with the
process repeating at each tournament. She stated that it would be more
efficient if the monies were kept on-hand, noting that there are internal
controls to secure the funds between tournaments when the money is signed
out and back in. She stated that she is requesting permission to keep
the money on-hand versus cutting a check from petty cash for each
tournament.
Alderman Ray moved, seconded by Bolden to approve the request for
$1,500.00 to be kept on-hand for shooting range tournament purposes.
MOTION CARRIED.
APPOINTMENTS: CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
Alderman Ray moved, seconded by Alderman Bolden to approve the
