AN ORDINANCE GRANTING AN EXCLUSIVE FRANCHISE TO PUBLIC
BENCH AD, INC., DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
W H ER EA S , Ordinance No. 176 granted an exclusive franchise
to Public Bench Ad, Inc. for purposes of advertising on street right of
ways with an option to renew said franchise for a period of ten years
from September 18, 1976;
WHEREAS , Public Bench Ad, Inc. has exercised said option;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
1. The franchise granted to Public Bench Ad, Inc. by Ordinance
No. 176 is extended for an additional ten years from September 18, 1976
to September 17, 1986.
2. This ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public
health, safety and welfare, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall become effective immediately.
